Martha Fay McCormick Wilson, 84, of Haleyville, Alabama, passed away Monday, Aug. 23, 2021, at Haleyville Healthcare Center after a recent illness. Timid by nature, she loved her family and friends, missed her sister and enjoyed feeding the birds and squirrels she watched from her living room window.
Martha is survived by her daughter, Rhonette Wilson Bailey and her granddaughter, Amanda Bailey (Tyler) Weaver. She is also survived by her brothers, Charles Belon (Betty) McCormick and Larry (Jan) McCormick, many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ronnie Hugh Wilson; her twin sister, Mary Gay Silas and her parents, Charlie and Venus McCormick.
Her graveside service will be Saturday, Aug. 28, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Winston Memorial Cemetery, with Dr. Ron Horton officiating. For the safety of all friends and family, please maintain social distancing at the cemetery.
