Sheriff’s office recovers thousands in stolen items

NAUVOO - Two thefts on the same property where a suspicious house fire occurred some time ago have been solved after stolen items were found scattered among several different locations and video surveillance showed a masked individual in the act of committing the thefts.

WINSTON COUNTY - Just as the dust is settling from the Oct. 6, run-off elections after the August municipal elections, plans are already gearing up for the general election on Nov. 3, with voters being introduced to a new method of signing in at the polls.
