WINSTON COUNTY - James Michael Brannon was denied parole Wednesday, Oct. 6, by the Alabama Department of Pardons and Paroles.

Brannon is serving a 40-year sentence for the 2006 murder of Bruce Pigg.  Brannon is currently being held at the Red Eagle Work Center.

Wood denied parole


Jory Scott Wood

FRANKLIN COUNTY - The Alabama Bureau of Pardons and Paroles denied parole to Jory Scott Wood Tuesday, Nov. 19.  Wood was convicted in February, 2019, of violating the sex offender notification law in Franklin, Colbert and Lauderdale counties and is serving a 15-year prison term.
