Fair returns to Double Springs this month

DOUBLE SPRINGS - Several charitable causes will benefit from the annual Winston County fair that’s returning to Double Springs April 23-28, as well as the Fair Queen Pageant that will kick-off the week-long event.

Christmas in the Park is tonight in Double Springs

DOUBLE SPRINGS - Christmas in the Park, usually scheduled in conjunction with the parade has been scaled back this year due to COVID-19. While the parade has been canceled, Santa will be in the park tonight, Dec. 7. Hot chocolate will be served along with cakes, cookies and gift bags for the children. The event will begin at 5 p.m. Community Unity will do a virtual tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 followed by a virtual lighting of the American flag, which is a new addition to the park. Everyone is welcome to come and celebrate.

Winston County Fair coming July 2-12


This year’s fair is slated for July 2-July 12, with 18-20 rides, making it the biggest fair to date.
DOUBLE SPRINGS - After several postponements and the possibility of cancellation due to COVID-19 this year, and the hard work of Crystal Till and April Flake of Community Unity, it has been announced the Winston County Fair will take place this year with more rides than ever before. It is scheduled from Thursday, July 2, through Sunday, July 12, with between 18 and 20 rides provided by C&M Southern Midways of Eastaboga, Ala.

Bigger fair this year? Officials say yes


The fair in Double Springs is set to begin Tuesday, April 23. It promises to be a bigger fair than last year with popularly known musical acts in the works.
DOUBLE SPRINGS - Tuesday, April 23, through Saturday, April 27, are the dates for the fair this year in Double Springs, noted Crystal Till of Community Unity at the Double Springs Town Council meeting on Monday, Jan. 14.
