DOUBLE SPRINGS - The Double Springs Senior Center will be closed Monday, April 15, through Friday, April 19, due to a sewer issue.

Hours change at Bear Creek Senior Center
BEAR CREEK - Hours of the newly established Bear Creek Senior Center have been changed to 9 am until 1 pm, announced director Eugenia Cottongin. The center is open Monday through Friday at the Bobby Bishop Community Center. So far, 49 seniors have signed up for the program. The center provides a hot lunch, games and activities for those 60 and older. Contact Cottongin at 205-486-4199.

WINSTON COUNTY - Senior citizen centers across the state may be temporarily closed due to the Coronavirus-2019 pandemic, but municipalities across Winston County are making sure seniors are visited, fed and that their needs are met during such uncertain times.
New polling site causing some concerns for seniors

HALEYVILLE - A polling site for the upcoming primary elections Tuesday, June 5, will be changed, with the site moving from the 21st Street Gym to the nearby Senior Citizens Center, which will cause the center to be closed to residents.
