Snoddy wins sheriff's race

WINSTON COUNTY - With 100 percent of ballot boxes from the May 24, primary counted in Winston County, according to the Alabama Secretary of State's website, Winston County Chief Deputy Caleb Snoddy will be the next sheriff of Winston County. 

Snoddy received over 50% of the vote, with 3,012 votes equaling 52.27% of the total votes cast, avoiding any run-off.  Lynn Police Chief Bryan Kirkpatrick came in second with 2,051 votes for 35.60% of the total vote.  Mike Clark received 437 votes for 7.58% of the vote and James Hicks received 262 votes for 4.55% of the vote.
