DOUBLE SPRINGS - The Winston County Board of Registrars Office is working to correct an error from the March 5 primary election, when voters informed the office and polling officials at the Nesmith voting precinct they had received the wrong ballot for a different school board district than which they should vote.

Sheriff encourages “yes” vote on local amendment

WINSTON COUNTY - On March 5, voters will have the choice to approve a local amendment allowing the Winston County Sheriff’s Office to conduct fundraisers, with proceeds benefiting the office, as well as charitable organizations and volunteer fire departments.

DOUBLE SPRINGS - A present and a former Winston County Commissioner will now be running against each other for the seat of commission chairman in the March 5, 2024, primary election.

Snoddy wins sheriff's race

WINSTON COUNTY - With 100 percent of ballot boxes from the May 24, primary counted in Winston County, according to the Alabama Secretary of State's website, Winston County Chief Deputy Caleb Snoddy will be the next sheriff of Winston County.
