HALEYVILLE - The Winston County Spelling Bee tournament was held Friday, Feb. 1, at the Haleyville Elementary School library. Students from the following schools were represented: Addison Elementary and High, Double Springs Elementary and Middle, Haleyville Elementary and Middle, Lynn Elementary and High and Meek Elementary and High.
The winner was Gabe Drummond of Lynn High School, and the runner-up was Garrett Crowe from Double Springs Middle School.
Pronouncer was Linda Godsey with Chere' Fetter, Debby Hallman and Carol Whitt as judges. Awards and certificates were given by Lauren Archer.
