Bear Creek town clerks discover discrepancies by prior administration

BEAR CREEK - Due to recent accusations made by the public that the Town of Bear Creek has mishandled or misappropriated funds, the water department has issued a statement documenting past funding discrepancies the department is currently working to correct.

BEAR CREEK   - The ultimate question that has arisen, despite tempers flaring and heated discussion at a public meeting Wednesday, Dec. 5, is whether or not the Bear Creek park and recreation board is a legal entity and how much authority does the board have under the umbrella of the town council.

BEAR CREEK - The town of Bear Creek’s long-awaited audit report for 2018, that has been on hold several months after town officials made a request to their previous auditor, was finally shared with the town council and public by newly hired CPA Don Wallace, who reported numerous financial discrepancies.
