Arley Women’s Club receives funding from Cullman Electric

ARLEY - The board of directors for Cullman Electric Cooperative recently represented a check in the amount of $2,000 to the Arley Women’s Club to use toward its many philanthropic endeavors.

Winston County schools clean up with donation of wipes

WINSTON COUNTY - Addison and Double Springs elementary schools will soon have received 30,000 packages each of Lysol® disinfecting wipes from Frontline Impact Project® thanks to Lysol’s® Here for Healthy Schools campaign. Each of the 60,000 packages contains 80 wipes, for a whopping total of 4,800,000 wipes, which are being shared with all county schools.

HES receives $1,000 contribution from Mark Forester Foundation

HALEYVILLE  - The Mark Forester Foundation presented $1,000 to Haleyville Elementary School, for having the most participants in  9th annual  Mark Forester Race, which was held in May on the campus of Haleyville City Schools.

Not only did staff from the elementary school participate in the race but they also manned a cooling station across from Barry’s Carpet, where they gave out water, Gatorade and snacks to race participants.

Winston County Sheriff's Office Reserve Deputy Program receives donation

DOUBLE SPRINGS - First National Bank of Double Springs recently made a generous donation to the Winston County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Reserve program.  The money will be used to purchase reserve deputy supplies.
