STRONG>BEAR CREEK   - A motion on the table to hire a new town clerk and move present clerk Jamie White to water clerk was one of two major votes that fell by the wayside because of a lack of a second from the Bear Creek Town Council.

BEAR CREEK  - The Bear Creek Town Council meeting was coming to a close, with a motion on the table to adjourn, when a question asked by  town council member Chris Gillum led into a fiery discussion and comments on whether the town has a legal park and rec board, resulting in police escorting two individuals out of the meeting.

BEAR CREEK - The Bear Creek Town Council voted at their regular meeting Thursday, Feb. 13, to hire Chester Barber as the electrician to check out Twin Forks campsites,  making sure everything is in order while the park is temporarily closed for general maintenance.

BEAR CREEK - The Bear Creek Town Council voted to borrow $30,000 from their line of credit in order to pay bills and pay officers in the police department, at the council's regular meeting Monday, October 7.

BEAR CREEK - Needs throughout the Town of Bear Creek, which kept coming back to water issues, were the forefront of a public hearing Thursday, June 20, gathering public input towards a $350,000 Community Development Block Grant that will be used for overall community improvements.

BEAR CREEK - After a one hour executive session, the Bear Creek Town Council voted by majority to name Jimmy Preston as Mayor Pro Tem in the absence of Connie Morrison who resigned earlier that day on Wednesday, October 3.
