WINSTON COUNTY - The Winston County Sheriff's Office, in conjunction with the Walker County Sheriff’s Office and the 25th Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office, is conducting an investigation into the death of Ricky Baughn Keeler.
Keeler's body was found Wednesday, April 3, in a vehicle partially submerged in a pond off of Homestead Road in the Dogtown area of Walker County near Eldridge, according to the Walker County Sheriff's Office, which had received a call about a suspicious vehicle and responded to the scene. Investigators with the Walker County Sheriff's Office determined that foul play was likely involved with Keeler's death, with further investigation determining that Keeler had possibly been killed in Winston County, according to the Winston and Walker County Sheriff's Offices. No further information is available at this time, according to the Winston County Sheriff's Office.
The Winston County Sheriff's Office is asking for anyone who may have any information in this case to call them at (205) 489-2115. They are also asking for Keeler's family to be kept in the public's thoughts and prayers during this time.
