Lynn’s Barton throws no-hitter

Breanna Barton was brilliant on the rubber on Thursday, March 21,  as she threw a no-hitter to lead Lynn Lady Bears softball team past Brilliant 11-1.
Lynn put up five runs in the fourth inning. driven by singles by Hannah Alsup and Barton, a sac fly by Ashley Aldridge, and an error on a ball put in play by Kendra Hannah.
Barton earned the win for LHS. She surrendered one run on zero hits over six innings, striking out 11.
Sarah Mace took the loss for Brilliant. She lasted five and two-thirds innings, allowing nine hits and 11 runs while striking out one.
Lynn saw the ball well, racking up nine hits in the game. Barton and Isabella Calderon all managed multiple hits for the Lady Bears. Barton led with three hits in four at bats. They had 15 stolen bases during the game, with three players stealing more than one. Alsup led the way with four.
Morgan Guyton led Brilliant with one run batted in. She went 0-for-2 on the day.
