Isabella Calderon drives in four as Lynn Lady Bears defeats Brilliant

BRILLIANT - Isabella Calderon drove in four on three hits to lead Lynn Lady Bears past Brilliant 11-1 on Friday. Calderon drove in runs on a single in the first, a double in the third, and a single in the fourth.

Lynn  got things started in the first inning when Calderon singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Brilliant knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the first inning. An error scored one run for Brilliant.

LHS pulled away for good with five runs in the third inning. In the third Calderon doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs, Gracie Jordan grounded out, scoring one run, an error scored one run for Lynn , and Kendra Hannah singled on a 3-1 count, scoring one run.

Breanna Barton was the winning pitcher for the Lady Bears. She lasted five innings, allowing one hit and one run while striking out six.

Sarah Mace took the loss for Brilliant. She allowed nine hits and 11 runs over five innings.

Lynn  racked up nine hits. Calderon, Hannah, and Ashley Aldridge all collected multiple hits. Calderon led the Lady Bears with three hits in four at bats.

Carrington Barnett went 1-for-1 at the plate to lead Brilliant in hits.
