WINSTON COUNTY - Beginning October 1, Community Action Partnership of North Alabama, Inc. (CAPNA) and Marion-Winston Counties Community Action Committee, Inc. (MWCCAC) will formally merge to serve five core north Alabama counties under the CAPNA name.

HALEYVILLE - Over the past several months, Marion/Winston Community Action Agency - which helps low-income families with heating and cooling costs, among other things -, has been considering a merger with either Community Service Programs of West Alabama or Community Action Partnership of North Alabama.
MONTGOMERY - Governor Kay Ivey has awarded grants totaling $13.8 million to help low-income households with home energy costs during the winter months amid the continuing COVID-19 pandemic.
WINSTON COUNTY - The Marion-Winston Counties Community Action Agency has begun making appointments and providing assistance for residential cooling energy bills.
MONTGOMERY - Community Action Partnership of North Alabama is one of 13 non-profits awarded a collective $2.9 million in grants to assist low-income and elderly residents with improvements to their homes to lower energy costs and improve home safety.
WINSTON COUNTY - The dates have changed for making appointments with the Marion-Winston Community Action Agency for financial assistance for utility bills for qualified residents. The assistance will be provided through LIHEAP, which is the federally funded Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program.
