HALEYVILLE - Personnel items, including, leaves, resignations, transfers and new hires, comprised most of the agenda of the Haleyville Board of Education’s regular meeting Tuesday, May 22, in efforts of getting all personnel in place for the start of the 2018-2019 school year.

Ball resigns as HHS varsity boys basketball coach; Burleson named new head

HALEYVILLE - The Haleyville Board of Education accepted the resignation of Dustin Ball as varsity boys basketball coach, effective March 23, and as head coach for the golf program, effective May 25.

Principals' contracts for Bice, Wilcoxson extended by BOE

HALEYVILLE - Contracts for Christy Bice, principal at Haleyville Elementary, as well as Middle School Principal Bo Wilcoxson were extended by the Haleyville Board of Education during their regular meeting Tuesday, March 20.

Teacher honored by Mark Forester Foundation

HALEYVILLE - Lauren Tinker, representing the Mark Forester Foundation, made a special presentation at the regular meeting of the Haleyville Board of Education Tuesday, Feb. 27, presenting a framed picture of soldier Mark Forester--who died in the line of duty while serving in Afghanistan in 2010--to HCS teacher Denise Berry for her avid support and annual participation in the Mark Forester Race held in honor of Mark at the school campus.
