DOUBLE SPRINGS - The man, who broke into Blue Moon Beverages and stole the safe, as well as his accomplice, who drove the getaway vehicle, have each been charged in connection with the early morning incident on Saturday, Aug. 27.

HALEYVILLE - One of the largest multi-room drug busts at the Imperial Inn on Highway 13 in Haleyville has resulted in multiple packages of marijuana, meth and pills being confiscated and five persons, including an office employee, being arrested.

Haleyville PD makes trafficking arrests, finds THC edibles


The items pictured above may look like candy, but they certainly are not. These THC-laced edibles were found in a residence in Comeens Subdivision, and Haleyville Police are concerned similar items may wind up in the hands of children.
HALEYVILLE - Two Haleyville residents face drug trafficking and related charges after Haleyville Police discovered 15 pounds of marijuana, 60 edibles containing THC and a disassembled AR-15 assault rifle at a residence in Comeens Subdivision.

BLACK POND - A major drug distributor was taken off the streets after the Winston County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant, finding 1.4 grams of cocaine, 112 grams of methamphetamine and 2.9 grams of marijuana found.

Arrest made in Helicon death


Caleb Scott Farley has been arrested and charged with murder and arson first degree in the death of David Brian Hayes.
