Tax cut coming to Alabamians

DOUBLE SPRINGS - Double Springs, Ashridge, Delmar and Haleyville fire departments were on the scene Wednesday, March 14, of a fully involved structure fire on County Road 338 off of Highway 278 just west of Double Springs. Alabama Forestry Commission was also been called to the scene. More details as they become available.
BLACK POND - The Black Pond Volunteer Fire Department was on the scene of a one-vehicle accident on County Road 8 Tuesday, March 13, at approximately 7:15 p.m. Firefighters reportied at least one injury in the accident.
Also, a telephone pole has possibly been made unstable due to the accident. Motorists are urged to continue to use caution through this area.
ADDISON - The homeplate umpire called the ball game in the bottom of the sixth inning Monday, March 12, on a Hayden Lee hit. Addison defeated Winston County High School 15-5 at AHS.
DOUBLE SPRINGS - The Winston County Republican Party is meeting tonight, Monday March 12 at 7 pm at the Winston County Courthouse. All committee members are urged to attend. The public is cordially invited.
HALEYVILLE - The Haleyville Alumni Association is seeking nominations for Alumnus of the Year for 2018.
