Fried pie sale to help fund Ashridge storm shelter, community center
ASHRIDGE- The Ashridge Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will have a fried pie sale on Nov. 16-17 to help raise funds to build a new storm shelter and community center. Fried apple and peach pies will be made with either sugar or splenda and available for $2 each. Pies this year will be made at Pleasant Hill #2 Baptist Church. Those picking up pies need to drive to the back of the church at the fellowship hall. To order a pie or for more information, contact Joe Ann Durham at 205-489-5741.

ASHRIDGE - Fire departments from Ashridge and Double Springs responded in the early morning hours of Thursday, Oct. 24, to a structure fire at James and Barbara Lovett's residence located at 3194 County Road 15.

Illegal parking at Caney Creek Falls entrance means being towed
Warning signs have recently been posted at the entrance site to Caney Creek Falls off County Road 2. This is due to a safety situation because there is not enough parking space nearby. Vehicles will be towed if parked illegally effective Saturday, Feb. 9.
