WINSTON COUNTY- The Winston County Sheriff’s Office has been busy this week, making at least two arrests with drug-related charges.
After being dispatched to a call of a domestic disturbance at 312 County Road 3631 in Nauvoo on Tuesday, March 3, Winston County Sheriff’s Office Investigators Caleb Snoddy and Jacob Ewing discovered a variety of drugs, with some of it packaged to sale. Snoddy and Eward seized two grams of methamphetamine, pre-melted Suboxone, which was intended for intravenous use, and 20 Klonopin pills, which were packaged with the intent to sell, officials with the sheriff’s office believe.
Later in the week on Friday, March 6, Winston County Sheriff’s Office Deputies Jonathan Oliver and Tim Williams made a traffic stop at the intersection of County Roads 17 and 364 south of Highway 278, finding more drugs and making an arrest. Taken into custody was Ajah Danielle Sawyer, 20, of Haleyville. Officers found 1.6 ozs. of marijuana, 3 Xanax pills and one Adderall pill.
