O.V. Nix

O.V. Nix, 88, of Phil Campbell, Alabama, died at home on Friday, July 3, 2020, after a brief illness. Born and raised in the Liberty Hill community, O.V. was the fifth of eight children born to George Edward Nix and Flossie Ann (Senkbeil) Nix. He retired from Reynolds-Alcoa in 1994 after forty years of service. Married to Irene Hutcheson Nix for 62 years, she preceded him in death in 2017. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by brothers Fred, Roy and Jack Nix and sisters Doris Nix Mayfield and Ruby Nix Hester.

Patricia "Pat" Louise Odom

Patricia "Pat" Louise Odom, 80, of Nauvoo, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020.  Her visitation will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2020, from 5-6 p.m. at Wilson Bros. Funeral Home in Carbon Hill, with her funeral following at 6 p.m.  Her graveside service will be held Thursday, July 2, 2020, at 2 p.m. at Kelley Cemetery in Eldridge.

James S. "Jim" Roy

James S. "Jim" Roy, 84, of Birmingham, passed away Saturday, June 20, 2020.  He was the father of Kenneth B. Roy III, of Arley. 

A memorial service for James will be held Friday, June 26, 2020 at 11:30 AM at Southern Heritage Funeral Home, 475 Cahaba Valley Road, Pelham, AL 35124, followed by a visitation and reception.

Elizabeth Jean Vandiver

Elizabeth Jean Vandiver, 68, of Phil Campbell, Alabama, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020 at her home. A native of Illinois, she had lived in this area for the past twenty-two years. She liked hummingbirds and horses and was of the Christian faith.

James A. Rouse

James A. Rouse, 76, of Bear Creek, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2020, at his residence.  His family will be receiving friends on Saturday, June 13, 2020, from 12-1 p.m., at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. His funeral will follow at 1 p.m., in the Kilgore-Green Chapel, with burial at Walker Memory Gardens.
