LYNN - The Addison Bulldogs baseball team easily did away with Meek 13-1 on Monday, April 15.
The Bulldogs got things started in the first inning. AHS scored two runs when Jake Wilson singled.
Addison notched five runs in the second inning. Hayden Lee, Wilson, Ty Tuggle, and Colten Tyree all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.
Lee led the Bulldogs to victory on the mound. He allowed six hits and one run over five innings, striking out four.

LYNN - During the championship game of the Winston County Baseball Tournament, Monday, April 15, Addison’s Bulldogs fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 7-3 loss to Lynn.  Hosted at Lynn High School, the Bears scored on a walk by Riley Humphres in the first inning, a walk by Braden Cagle in the first inning, and a double by Chance Majors in the second inning.
Lynn fired up the offense in the first inning, when Dalton Gilbert was hit by a pitch, driving in a run.

Hamilton scored four runs in the third inning, but Haleyville Lions baseball still won 13-5 on Monday. The big inning for Hamilton came thanks to an error on a ball put in play by Drake Morris and Tayten Lann and a groundout by Jathan Jackson.

Gavin West was bad news for opposing pitchers on Monday, driving in five on three hits to lead Haleyville Lions junior varsity past Hamilton 15-8 on Monday, April 15. West drove in runs on a single in the first, a double in the second, and a single in the third.

2019 Baseball First Round Pairings

All series will be Friday, April 19 and Saturday, April 20 unless otherwise noted. First round 
for Class 7A will be April 26-27.

SOUTH SUB-STATE

Haleyville Lions JV defeated Phil Campbell 1-0 on Friday, April 12,  as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Kaleb Garrett induced a groundout from Francisco Casasola to finish off the game.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Haleyville pitchers struck out seven.

HALEYVILLE -  The Haleyville Lions baseball took both games of a doubleheader with Fayette Thursday, April 11, defeating Fayette County 4-2 in the second game.

Haleyville  got things moving in the first inning, with Scott McAlpine hitting a solo homer.

HALEYVILLE - John Whiteside was clutch at the plate with ducks on the pond on Thursday, April 11, driving in four on three hits to lead Haleyville baseball past Fayette County 11-1 on Thursday. Whiteside drove in runs on a single in the second, a single in the third, and a single in the sixth.

HALEYVILLE - The Alabama Sports Writers Association has released the most recent rankings for baseball. Haleyville High School comes in at number 8 of the Top 10 in 4A. The Lions captured the 4A Area 11 championship with a 3-2 win over Fayette Wednesday, April 10. Lynn High School Bears is ranked 10th in 1A

The Haleyville Lions baseball team secured the 4A Area 11 championship Wednesday, April 10, in Fayette by defeating Fayette County 3-2. Haleyville  pitchers allowed just four hits to Fayette County.
