Garrett throws shutout against Deshler

HALEYVILLE - Kaleb Garrett didn't allow a single run as Haleyville Lions junior varsity defeated Deshler 6-0 on Saturday, Feb. 22, at HHS. Garrett allowed just one hit.
Haleyville pulled off the big victory without ever scoring many runs in an inning. The most they scored was two in the fourth.
The junior varsity got things started in the first inning when Brody Gravitt singled on a 1-1 count, scoring two runs.
Garrett was credited with the victory for Haleyville. He surrendered zero runs on one hit over five innings, striking out nine.

Alabamian baseball All-Star team

Addison 11U team state champs

The Addison 11U Dizzy Dean baseball team won the state championship June 25. ADDISON - They came together approximately five years ago to play America’s pastime. Now they are state champions.

Haleyville Post 33 takes on Hartselle and Madison

 HALEYVILLE - Haleyville Post 33 fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 13-3 loss to Hartselle  on Tuesday, June 25. Hartselle scored on a single by Hudson Olive, a single by Jonah Cheek, a single by Braden Bevis and a single by Cameron Bracken in the first inning.
The Haleyville Post 33 struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Hartselle, giving up 13 runs.
Cheek got the start for Hartselle. He lasted five innings, allowing two hits and two runs, while striking out two.

Haleyville Post 33 doing well during season

HALEYVILLE - Haleyville Post 33 opened up scoring in the first inning of the opening game of a double header on Monday, June 17, when Caleb Williams drew a walk, scoring one run.
Shelby County Post 555 JV pulled away for good with seven runs in the second inning, winning 9-5.  Haleyville Post 33 put up three runs in the third inning. Haleyville’s offense in the inning was led by Josh Weaver and Jordan Lasker, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Bethers was on the mound for Shelby County. He surrendered five runs on three hits over three innings, striking out one.

Post 33 sweeps Saturday play

HALEYVILLE - The Haleyville American Legion Post 33 baseball hosted Hamilton Post 165 Saturday morning, June 15, taking a 7-2 victory and Lakeview Black Post 2011, winning 9-1 in the afternoon.
Haleyville Post 33 fired up the offense in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Haleyville Post 33.
Haleyville tallied three runs in the second inning. Haleyville’s offense in the inning was led by Hayden Armstrong, Gavin West and Morgan Long, who all drove in runs.

Brooks takes second game of series 9-2

HALEYVILLE - Haleyville Lions watched the second game game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 9-2 loss to Brooks on Friday, May 3, played at HHS.
 Brooks scored on a double by Brett Urban in the first inning, a single by Carson Villalta in the first inning, a passed ball during Trey Patterson's at bat in the first inning, a double by Carson Daniel in the first inning, a double by Kole Warden in the first inning, and a sacrifice fly by Villalta in the second inning.
Brooks got on the board in the first inning. Urban drove in one when he doubled.
